Proctor Home is owned and operated by the Trustees of the John C. Proctor Endowment. The Trustees operate the Home pursuant to the terms and conditions of Mr. Proctor's Last Will and Testament which was admitted to probate in 1907. The Endowment is a not-for-profit organization that is qualified as a charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Endowment is not affiliated with any other organization and is non-denominational. The seven Trustees are elected for one-year terms and serve without compensation. They employ an administrator/chief executive officer and a staff to manage day-to-day operations of the the Endowment and its assets, including Proctor Home.
